Thank you so much for joining us on Saturday morning, each of the 7 boys had a great time and really enjoyed the experience. The food was also yummy and all the parents enjoyed it too (Reuben’s grandparents finished off the pasta in the evening). Appreciate cooking for the parents was an added twist and thinking about it later in the day, it was no mean feat making a main and dessert for 15 people (with 7 little helpers) – so thanks for taking on the ‘challenge’. It was very well received by the parents and one of the parents thanked us for a ‘unique party’, which was a very nice comment.

We have a number of photos, but sent you the one of Reuben with messy hands!

Also, a big thanks for tidying up the kitchen so well.

Thanks

Thanks for a great afternoon Hannah - we had a 'wow-factor - too much to eat dinner party' and it was superb food! My favourite by far was the gold leaf, hazelnut crusted meriques with praline white chocolate ganache and salted caramel sauce !!! (Maybe not the actual title but taking artistic license!)

Thanks again!

thank you for a lovely day, I really enjoyed cooking with you.
There is only a small drop of stew/casserole left so I think they may have enjoyed eating it, the highlight was the semi freddo which every one had 2nd & i even licked the mould (bad habit I know?) so I'm glad I have those 2 little pots put away
I did cook the welly which we are having half cold today, Mum & Dad are having the other half.
I forgot to give you that leaflet on the Olive company so here is the website

I now have to do it all again for the family so your cards will come in handy, or it's just an excuse to drink more maderia, hic!
thanks again

What a pleasure it was to have you in my home teaching me some cooking skills and tricks.    Soon after your arrival I felt I was with a good friend such was your pleasant and easy going personality.   Your tutorage and mentoring meant I leant more than I realise.  What did I learn?   Confidence that I can do quite complex things, handling strong flavours e.g. spices, vinegar, stock making e.g. reduce it so much that it becomes a syrup and how easy some apparently difficult things are such as the Hollandaise sauce.   Oh yes, truffle making is not for me!   It’s the rolling bit, just how messy can it be?

As for the dinner party, it went really well,   I didn’t spend much time in the kitchen and things like timings worked as expected just as we had discussed.   I had wonderful comments all night including “you realise you won’t be invited to any more dinner parties!”   J.   I have been awarded a Michelin star by one guest so something must have been good.   According to my guests the highlight was the duck pate and the apple and saffron chutney was delicious, although as not much of a fish eater I did like the 2 coloured fish terrine.   The goats cheese Dauphinoise was gorgeous and worked so well with the lamb, just as you said it would.   It was not that “goaty” but did have that distinct earthy tang and which made all the difference.   The puddings went down well even I ate the pavlova and enjoyed it.   All together it was a very successful evening to which I owe you a big thank you.

Thank you for giving me a very memorable day.   I look forward another day’s cooking lesson with you.   The challenge will be “how to top last night”!

Apologies for the belated response. We had a fantastic time last week and were delighted both with the service we received and the food that we cooked. We will definitely be recommending it to out friends and possibly even doing another one ourselves.

Many thanks,

Michael
